Full Time Social Studies Teacher (7th-11th Grade)

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Social Studies Teacher to join our team and inspire students in grades 7 through 11. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of social studies content, a commitment to integrating biblical principles into their teaching, and a passion for fostering critical thinking and civic engagement in students.
Responsibilities:
Curriculum: Teach the rigorous and engaging social studies curriculum that aligns with state standards and integrates Christian worldview perspectives.
Instruction: Deliver dynamic and interactive instruction that promotes inquiry, critical thinking, and cultural awareness, utilizing a variety of instructional strategies and resources to meet the needs of diverse learners.
Assessment: Design and administer assessments to evaluate student understanding and progress effectively, providing timely feedback to students and parents to support academic growth and achievement.
Spiritual Integration: Integrate biblical principles and Christian ethics into social studies lessons, facilitating discussions that encourage students to explore the relationship between faith, history, and contemporary issues.
Classroom Management: Foster a positive and respectful classroom environment where students feel safe, valued, and empowered to express their ideas and perspectives.
Collaboration: Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and community partners to support student learning and development, participate in interdisciplinary projects and initiatives, and contribute to the overall mission and vision of the school.
Professional Development: Engage in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance teaching effectiveness, stay current with best practices in social studies education, and deepen understanding of Christian pedagogy and worldview integration.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Social Studies, History, Education, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
Teaching credential or certification.
Ideally someone with experience teaching social studies at the middle or high school level, preferably in a Christian or faith-based setting.
Strong content knowledge in social studies disciplines (e.g., history, geography, civics, economics) and pedagogical expertise in facilitating inquiry-based learning and historical thinking skills.
Commitment to integrating Christian faith and principles into teaching practices and fostering spiritual growth in students.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
